Toughened glass is heat-treated to increase its safety and durability, making it ideal for residential & commercial applications where compliance with AS 2208 Grade A safety glazing standards is essential. It’s available in a variety of float glass types including clear, toned, low iron, low-E and patterned - each offering a balance of style, performance, and peace of mind. Toughened glass will be up to 5 times stronger than regular float glass, & provide higher impact resistance and thermal stability. Toughened glass can be used for single or double glazing.

Features + –

Grade A safety glass. In the rare event of breakage, the glass is designed to shatter into small fragments, minimizing the potential for injury. Can be used where thermal stress is an issue. More detail can be found in 'A guide to glass and glazing' (resources tab). Always check application suitability. Heat soaking options available for required applications (refer AS1288,3.8).
